Rock Climbing on Dartmoor
Most of our rock climbing sessions are 3 hours long, only the “Learn to rig” and “Guided adventure” courses are longer, taking you out for a full 6 hour day. You’ll arrive at your venue and meet your instructor, get kitted up and introduced to the sport so you know what to expect from your session. We run all of our climbing and bouldering sessions outdoors on real rock, but have access to an indoor wall if the weather is unsuitable or if you’ve requested an indoor session on your booking.
Climbing Venues
We utilise having Dartmoor right on our doorstep, with some of our favourite venues being The Dewerstone near Plymouth, Houndtor and Haytor not far from Newton Abbot, and Chudleigh Rock close to Exeter. Join us for an epic experience exploring our favourite parts of rural South Devon.
Dartmoor is banked on both sides by the A38 and A30, making a remote Dartmoor experience an accessible day out from Exeter, Okehampton, Plymouth, Torbay, Newton Abbot and surrounding areas.

Taster sessions

First time climbing? Or never climbed outdoors before? Or want to get the kids climbing? This is the perfect session for you, aimed at introducing everyone to the thrill of outdoor climbing. Whether you’re 8 or 80, we’ll kit you up and put you in the hands of our fantastic instructors for a day you’ll never forget!

Develop your skills!
Development sessions
£50 per person
For ages 12+
Our “next step” session, perfect for those who have been to our own Intro sessions and got the bug, or for experienced indoor climbers looking to take their skills outdoors! During your session we’ll take you to one of our incredible Dartmoor venues and let you lead your own day. You quite literally take the guide book and tell us what catches your eye! From here we’ll teach you the key skills to be an independent climber, from knots and belaying to placing your own gear and understanding the techniques needed for lead climbing. This session will take you to new heights!
